This is definitely a slow film series for a very good reason. but if you can get past that, then you're in for an amazing world of dystopian/utopian psychology themed work of literature. It told a story of psychic children who grew up in a post-apocalyptic world. and as the episodes goes on, you'll find yourself grew up with them as well. This films really hold itself high in the world building and the culture, and as the theme of this film itself revolved around psychology, the psychology and ways of thinking of each characters play a huge role in this. Though I can see this being a drawback as well since the views was too foreign for reality, but it really necessary as this film focus itself in exploring the evil/volatile side of human nature when it given power.
It should really tell you something when everyone who liked this film called it masterpiece while those who don't says that, "the plot is too slow", "Too/not enough gay", "Suddenly, this", or "Suddenly that."
All I say for those who says this film was "too sudden", they just didn't pay attention to the beginning episodes which serves as the foundation to the whole series itself. When I said this is a slow film series for a good reason, this is what I meant. Nothing, and I do meant nothing, happened in the later episodes haven't been foreshadowed or conceptualized in the earlier episodes (when they were still children).
