People cribbing here are mostly the ones who've read the books. But the makers have tried to give this character a complete makeover so that it fits into today. I have read the books too but if you're coming here expecting you'll see something same, then don't do it. It's a really good show. The pilot was a bit of a letdown, but if you sit through it, you'll love it. For those who love mysteries and supernatural stuff. Give it a try. Looking forward to season 2!
