I understand what the movie was trying to get across to the audience. I do. But a live action film was a bad way to make this point. An animated film could have done the same without putting real children in the position of the very thing the film is warning against. Irresponsible of the entire production. The screenplay can win an award. It should. It's shocking and real and deeply moving. And disgusting. And wrong. And now every pedophile has their masturbatory material for the year. I think it's clear from the backlash against this film that nobody really needed this message anyway. Nobody but the pedophiles. And the message would be lost on them.
