Different Beads of the same string – An absorbing debut to prodigious collection of short stories, taking you to the very core of societal norms leaving one roiling with facts to ponder upon. The prose style of writing keeps it absolutely enjoyable.
It was truly a delightful experience to read the book. Each story was a representation to various situation and important archive. Conveying the need for sharp social thinking through the quandaries of a small, parochial social setting and urges one to know the right from the wrong. It left me instilled with a sense of morale. Each story left me perplexed with an unexpected ending. The informal and fluid style of writing kept it interesting. My favourite amongst the stories were the - 2nd chapter-where Mansoor Akhtar (Pluto-I loved the concept of nine planets)– portrayed selfless yet a determined character. The character strengthens my understanding to the fact that sometimes letting go is also an act of love. The next favourite was -Then and Now, it enlightens that despite not being able to help a situation atleast knowing in your heart what is right still keeps us humane. Oh! and how can I not mention The Apt Time- truly, the world would be a better place without religious myth and only if one would muster the courage to stand up and do the right thing at the apt time. Overall it was an absorbing debut to incisive collection of stories.
I thank you for a delightful read, it was an absolute treat to read these short stories, although I look forward to read a monologue piece crafted by you. With your new book being tailored I can’t wait to read it already. I wish you good luck for the upcoming book.
