It's a kids movie, not a Martin Scorse's or Michael Mann movie. For it's entertainment value and ability to generate curiosity and interesting themes and storylines which pique the interest of kids this does its job very well. It's not easy to make a movie that can engage both parents and kids. The cameos and the amazing all-star line up were also wonderful additions. This is one of those movies that bombed at the box office, but has endured as a classic and is rewatched decades later.

Rewatching it again after 20 years, it just shows how brilliant a filmmaker Cameron is. The movie is not just about the humans, but the Terminator developing human emotional and general intelligence, something we are still arguing and debating about. Machines can destroy us, but also protect and foster close emotional connections. Being human is as much about what we do than what is on the inside.

The movie is not as great as the content, the themes, and the real-life issues that are contained within it. As someone who served, it hurts deeply to know that we failed the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. It is not sufficient for only serving members to know this, it is important for the world and the public to know this. It is important to know that each person's story and their life and their individual sacrifice is known, this movie does it brilliantly. It takes you into the first person view of an afghani, the first person views as a military serving member. It gives insight not only of the futility of the war, but of the futility and frustration of western bureaucracy and administrative idiocy. The movie leaves you with a strong sense of what the war was like and the pain of what is left behind.

The acting from Toni Collete is so incredible, i felt like i was experiencing a something in real life. It is hard to see any good acting anymore, but today, I was completely thrown off guard at how well she played it. The ending scene, however, was really odd, and ruined the whole of the movie. It might have been rushed, or hurried due to timing and deadine constraints. If there was a differnt ending or differnt composition for the last 15 minutes, i think there would have been a much better reviews and awards given to this movie. Most of the movie was excellent though.

the two guys are different people, don't know why they casted two male actors that looked so similar with same haircut and smile. For half the movie, I thought the second BF had amnesia or was some identical twin.

Superbly well written. While one may mistaken it for a hack and slash series based on the posters. The witcher pleasently suprises with an unexpected story line, non-stereotypical characters, and well balanced moral critique of violence begetting more violence. Episode two with the bard was also very cleverly written.
