Very well crafted as a movie and brilliantly scripted and directed. This plot follows the Gospels and the dialogue is readily recognizable, but there is great originality in casting, settings and scenes. Great entertainment that is faithful to how the Gospels present Jesus and his culture. It is provides a very positive and accurate portrayal of Jewish beliefs, practices culture. Jesus was controversial in his time (and remains so today), and the series achieves a remarkably balanced presentation of Jesus and his followers.
