A disturbing but powerful film that stays with you.
This film had me on edge the entire time. The way it shows a father lying and gaslighting his own son after doing unthinkable things was deeply unsettling.
Watching the son slowly piece everything together was heartbreaking but powerful.
At the same time, you see a Black family being harassed for simply existing, while the real evil is happening right down the street — by the very people pretending to be "normal." That contrast was loud without needing to shout.
The ending, with the two boys playing catch, was emotional and meaningful. Despite the darkness, it leaves you with a little hope.
This isn’t a feel-good movie — it’s a gut-punch.
