I typically LOVE period pieces, especially Viking stories but this was awful. We had to turn it off due to second hand embarrassment. The acting is poor (verbal and physical)…the storyline is tired…attempting to be edgy and mystical but ends up being ridiculous and cos play like. They should have cast European actors…EVERY historical show on Netflix has better acting and directing. Nicole Kidman can act BUT she’s unrealistic in a role that should be gritty. Ethan Hawk is talking in a “Batman” voice and crawling around like a dog. Alexander Skarsgard is grunting and posing the whole movie…running like he’s afraid he’s going to stub a toe and his fight choreography is poorly executed. Don’t waste your time or money.
