Good flick. Take away the fancy wrapping of good-looking actors, expensive cars, apartments with an ocean view, and debauchery from godless amounts of free flowing cash, and you have a movie based on true events that illustrates healthcare fraud in its purest form...a criminal enterprise.
The real-life pharmaceutical company, Insys Therapeutics, from the top on down, put profits before people. People became addicted and people died. They pushed a sublingual form of fentanyl (brand name Subsys) meant only for endstage cancer patients with intractable pain and whose deaths were imminent to common headache sufferers. They successfully bribed providers. All involved received well-deserved prison sentences in the end. The movie mostly got it right.
A+ acting from Emily Blunt and Chris Evans! The movie is worth a watch...
