And if we go even further back, Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii (2010) and Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Wii U (2015) completely surpass the open world of this Pokémon game (and the previous ones too).
Pokémon is the most powerful franchise in the world — they owe it to the fans to deliver a game worthy of that name.
In the past, Pokémon games used to push their consoles to the limit (Gold and Silver on Game Boy, Black 2 and White 2 on DS).
Now it’s just minimum effort for maximum profit, and that can’t go on forever…
