I've read the book, and loved it (up until the end). So I was apprehensive about the series but damn, I loved it. The casting was spot on, Margot Cleary-Lopez, Roxy Monke and Allie I thought were particularly on point. The writing was great and I felt it was as nuanced as could be, for the pilot season. Seeing the different relationships between daughters and their Mums, the wounded and now radicalised young boy, the interpersonal relationship strains, the politics! Really good stuff. Obviously, its the first season and the show has its flaws but we can critique something while also acknowledging the positive impact its had on viewers. Would recommend xo
