I was pleasantly surprised. I would not have gone to see it if I'd realize it was a kids movie. Then I was drawn into the story. The character development and acting was very good. The manner in which they developed the central theme of the movie fun and quite creative. I really don't like Steve Carell, but even he didn't totally ruin his character. Other than that it was a totally enjoyable film. I'm glad I saw it.
