Couldn't finish it. Hardly an adventure novel, just an account of a meticulously detailed level of research. Here's old diary entries, historical dates and facts. Dull dull dull. Occasionally the book brings us into present day which is interesting, but not enough to keep me. Didn't finish it. Was listening to the audio book version and the reader had the most bland, dull voice. Like an ai imitating human. Obviously didn't help.
