Watched it with interest. Annoying that we had to have the woke casting and backstory. This is the BBC virtue signalling once again. I’m not convinced that interactions back in 1954 between a black man and those in a small village would have fun as smoothly as portrayed. To be fair I thought the actor played his part well

Complete and utter rubbish. The dialogue was difficult to hear. The police officers were unprofessional kids, the male characters were all damaged or bad guys.
I had to read a synopsis of the final episode to try to understand what I had wasted six hours watching. Even after reading it there were loose ends. I had expected all of the threads to be drawn together to make the hitherto jumble of ideas come together. They didn’t. Pure bilge.
