I’m a sci fi fan but never read these novels. I believe a lot of gender changes to characters, annoying, I don’t need to see programmes filled to the brim with young feisty females to tick any gender boxes. Quite happy to watch male actors. I’m rooting for the Empire, most exciting bit of the series, Lee Pace, well Lee Pace….. good actor and well, gorgeous. Sorry, I’m shallow when it comes to attractive men. Like the Demrozel actress and I do like Leah something as Salvor, but why do the slight pretty females all have to have the strength of ten men. Gaal is a bit blah, looks like she’s in the 5th form at school. Hate the brother constant character whoever she is, cannot stand her, wish she’d be terminated instead of her dad whoever he was, in the red robes. Hate that world were they were mind readers and it looked like a Māori leader woman, ignis was it, who cares, why were they living like savages?. Cannot stand the silly young woman who was gonna marry Brother Day, absolutely awful with her flimsy robes, get a bloody bra on and some decent threads. She acted like a model turned bad actress, who on earth picked her for the role of bride to Brother Day, it was embarrassing, and she flounced around like an entitled teenager in a hissy fit over a curfew, and overacted. I’ll give three stars for Lee Pace and as long as he’s in it, I might keep watching.
