Loved the original The Lion King, had no expectations on Mufasa and came out singing more positive praises.
Loved the reflective story telling by Rafiki, sense of humor, character building and back stories of Scar and Mufasa. Especially loved the overal positive and hidden life messages. Some parts were predictable however that’s a given since we know what to expect but how the story was written and delivered was simply brilliant and entertaining.
Enjoyed the musical elements, the lyrics were catchy and music pleasant although some parts were not necessary.
The beginning could have been slowed down to share more of Mufasa’s relationship with his parents and his father’s positive guidance on leadership - linking back to The Lion King’s story of what Mufasa said to Simba about his father’s teachings. I think his separation from his parents was a little too abrupt and quick that’s all.
Overall loved this movie, would highly recommend it and I would definitely watch again!
