I’m with Maheteme, cannot understand the negativity. The first episode does take a little time to move but by the end of the second episode I am all in. Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson are class acts and the guy who plays the rich guy is annoyingly brilliant. Suspect he might turn out a hero? Don’t worry, I don’t know and have not read the book.

Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying this. However, a number of episodes are very slow moving and is anyone else irritated by the Nicole Kidman overacting and the constant 1000 yard stare will become as iconic as the Roger Moore eyebrow!

This was worth watching but did not meet expectations. Kiera knightly is very good (as she has been in several films that don’t quite get there- Collette?). The two lawyers are completely unrealistic and also unlike able where surely one should be. Felt a little superficial all round.

What a wonderful platform for some great actors. Totally self indulgent. I felt defrauded by this movie. This is the Emperors new clothes. Art for arts sake. Acting wonderful but the movie itself is a boring pastiche.
