The genre is fantasy. All throughout the series, fantasy is the main point of focus. The plot is amazing. There's always suspense. Worth binge-watching. But if you're watching it for romance, you might be disappointed. I think the romance part of the series has not been showcased well. It just seems like they characters are made to do things just because the legend says so. And you wouldn't feel or know when they fall in love, if they are in love at all. You just wouldn't be able to relate to the main characters. If that's not your prime focus, a good watch.
