Ever since the mention of the romanovos in the show 'crown', the Russian imperial family has always fascinated me. Googling about them wasn't not enough or even satisfactory at that moment of time.
Recently I stumbled upon the show the last czars' every ounce of my being was diverted towards that show my fasciantion towards non-indian history has always been like an alcoholic's desire for a drink.
The show itself tells us about the true story of Nicolas romanovos the last craz of
Russia and his family. The story line is primalily based from 1910-1925, with in the span of these 15 years the Russian empire who ruled over Russia for more than 300 years dissolves. The imperial family themselves including their othere 18 members of their extended family are killed to in the name of revolution.
While staring the series in the first episode I knew about the ending ie the ultimate death of the imperial family yet the story telling and the journey that the makers of the series took us upon was something different. At certain points it felt like it was more of a documentary than a series. In my mind I expected it to be more like the crown, but upon realised how little of a timeframe they had to in terms of telling the story I would like to say they did a good job. Perhaps if more of the emotional side of the czar was explored it really wound have been something extra ordinary.
The historians and the cast sometimes refered to the czar as nicky which I founf to be quite unusual, I can give the historians the benefit of the doubt as they are in the 21st centry but I am not sure than the members of the imperial family including the czarina refered to the czar as nicky
RA…..RA..RASPUTIN I seriously has no idea that Rasputin was a part of this story, upon looking at his story line and the effect he had on the czarina and upon realising that he is one of the causes for the fall of the imperial family in russia its surreal what a monk did in those times.
It is extra ordinary how one of the richest and most powerful empire in the world could br reduced to nothing, one cant help but imagine that this could have also happened to the brish empire in some point in time. The czar and czarina of Russia are axactly what the king and queen of england are, the contrast of the fates of these two dynasties is so surreal. Both of them beilve themselves to be the chosen ones, the closest form of divinity
those times.

Both of them beilve themselves to be the chosen ones, the closest form of divinity on earth yet their ends couldn't be any more different. The imperial family was murdered in a house prison and their remains were thrown in the jungle while the royal family still presides iver the thrown in England though not as powerful as they used to be but still alive.
The Russian revolution, in the series the imperial family especialy the czarina is quite unawarw of the gravity of the revolution. In a sense for the viewers to under stand the true effect of the revolution
-a more descriptive reflection should have been showed
