Great actors in this film hence the 3 stars. I watched it recently on DVD and would have been disappointed if I'd bothered going to the cinema to see it as to me, it seemed somewhat overdrawn out and an inclusive ending.

I was disappointed with this film. I expected a good ghost/supernatural story but it wasn't. Atmospheric black and white film which was overlong, following two men in a lighthouse. The acting was good but wasted on a rubbish storyline. In a nutshell the old guy leaves all the graft to the newcomer the young guy to do and has gone a bit tapped and seems to be sexually attracted to the light and the young guy loses his mind at the end and kills the old guy. That's it ☹️ As someone else has already pointed out it could have been a great supernatual film but wasn't. Just glad I didn't bother going to the cinema to see it.
