This is specific to Season 18: we've loved other seasons but this 2024 edition has very little actual dancing which is the main reason we watched the show. Too little diversity of style: contemporary dominates. Too much backstory and judging, some inadequate dancers were picked (when compared to available talent), and there are at most 5-10 minutes of actual dancing. I've stopped watching and the ratings tell the story.
