DON'T BOTHER WATCHING IT IF YOU HAVE ALREADY WATCHED "FAUDA"! Didn't expect this from Sudhir Mishra, the maker of "Yeh woh manzil toh nahin", Hazaar Khwaahishein aisee", "Chameli", "Is raat ki subah nahn". Tanaav is an unofficial, shameless SCENE BY SCENE copy of an Israeli webseries Fauda. Almost all such "adapted" series always display this in their credits - Arya, Hostages, you name it. But this guy has gone and copied without giving credit - loser!

Watch this as a soft porn series and nothing more than that. MX player wasted the script and the cast by inserting unnecessary sleaze into every episode. Just wondering if Raj Kundra is a shareholder in MX Player...😉 It would have made for a truly rivetting show had they kept out the sleaze and cropped the total number of episodes from 15 to maybe 7-8 Bye bye Hello Mini, it was a pain watching you...

Overall an engaging thriller, but there were a few jarring notes: 1. Why does Amitabh Bacchan repeat all his dialogues (spoken in Shuddh Hindi) in English? After a few times, this becomes monotonous. Film makers could have used subtitles instead 2. They messed up BIG TIME with polygraph test. A polygraph test isn't like a TRUE / FALSE type of test where every statement rendered by the accused is analyzed as true / false! More importantly, you just can't order a polygraph test (correct me if I'm wrong) with a snap of your fingers. I am sure you need a court order along with the acceptance of the accused to undergo this test. 3. I remember it being mentioned somewhere during the movie that the AAIB inquiry is being held in Delhi, but the setting (of the building where inquiry is held) looked to be from a coastal region! Ajay Devgan, thoda research kar lete yaar!

I'll give this film 7/10. Expected better stuff from the maker of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Rang De Basanti. Main issues that take away from an actually gr8 film: 1. Length of film (2 hr 40 min) is way too much for film wid a simple storyline. 2. Who plays amateur boxing without protective headgear? 3. How come ALL the matches in AMATEUR boxing shown in the film are decided purely by knockouts? Sorry, but after having watched the more realistic and gritty web series, it looks like it's time to bid adieu to movies.

One of the best web series I have watched in recent times. I am amazed that this particular web series features nowhere in the list of "Must Watch" web series anywhere. I won't waste words & space here describing briefly the plot. Suffice to say that this is a very "edge of the seat" political thriller and the 1st season ended nicely at the cusp and raising the viewer's expectations alive for the 2nd season - can't wait for it! Pros: - Tight screenplay & editing - Excellent acting by all the actors (I really can't single out anyone!) Cons: - A tad "filmy" look overall (expected because the director is a famous Bollywood director Nagesh Kuknoor) Overall rating: 8.5/10

After watching some great web series like The Family Man, Special Ops, Aarya, Patal Lok, Panchayat, Mirzapur, Sacred Games etc, I find the mainstream movies QUITE boring. IMO these mainstream movies are completely lacking the realistic touch and the excellent scripts of web series. In this film although the actors have done their job brilliantly, the script though quite good, fails to grab your attention. Had lately binge watched lots of web series and thought of watching a mainstream film for a change, but I am regretting it within just 30 minutes into the film. Sorry guyz, until and unless, the so called big production houses don't come up to the level of the content in Web series, I am going to steer clear of any mainstream movies for a long time!

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME ! 😡 Better to watch the superbly crafted WEB SERIES like Asur Abhay, Candy etc. Ironically, in this film the actors have done their job well, but the screenplay, direction, production, background score, everything SUCKS. All the guyz who have given 4/5 star rating will come back & change their ratings after watching these REALLY GREAT web series.
