Excellent, simply excellent. I am still the optimistic person I've always been and TOS was where I started in the Star Trek world. It was playful, optimistic, deep (for its time), and unafraid to have fun. This new version is much more like that than all the others in between.
My hats off to the writers. I absolutely love the new Trek.
