So sick of insertion of homosexuality in period pieces when there is no indication that the characters(people that actually lived) were gay. Same thing was portrayed in The Favorite. Even the changing of literary fictional characters has been tainted. Like Robin Hood tv series having a Muslim woman with advanced knowledge being one of the Merry Men. What is next a female Tarzan? No, sorry it will be a sexually fluid woman who is a transgender man.

A beautiful film with superb acting, Climaxing with self realization and redemption.

I almost walked out, but stayed hoping it would get better. It didn't, it was a terrible film.
