The movie “The Whale” is an outstanding Oscar winning worthy piece not all find passion for movies like this or might stop at the beginning because of the picture they see, most judge a book by its cover and stop watching or listening or even leave because of the cover or the person they see. But just like this movie it is a much more heartfelt story about a man named Charlie who had turned overweight from a loss of his partner and leaves his child and wife because of how strong his love for his long lost partner. Later in the story his daughter whom he has not seen for almost nine years had shown up to his apartment and Charlie offers her a little over 100 thousand dollars just for her company and for her to right for him, he was a online teacher who did not show his face weather for being insecure or almost like he was afraid for his students to see him. He had continued to see his daughter as the minister boy would come along to try and save him but later on the daughter, Ellie saves the boy by showing pictures to his parents and he wounded up going back home in the end, At the end of the movie Charlie’s daughter Ellie comes To talk at him for making her fail her assignment which was an essay. that he had re-written for her but what she didn’t do was take her time and read the essay he wrote because he had re-written her essay that she had written in 4th grade about a Moby Dick story and at the end of the movie when she had read it Charlie had gotten up and walked towards her to show how much he really cares and wanted to be in her life, it showed that he cared and that he loved her. My thoughts on the amazing movie was that it was a very heartfelt story and showed how much love can do to somebody's life. Written by, Serenity H.
