I understand there are lots of people who read the books and enjoyed them and the movie. I did not read the books and I found the movie boring and so predictable its not even funny. They aimed for a nice cozy mystery, bit served a bland mush. Maybe I would even have enjoyed it if not for the cast choices - all are so clearly briliant, sharp and just not retirement home material at all, lol helen mirren and pierce brosnan are old but they will never be old old if you know what I mean. They are just too good. Same for other two. Last but NOT least - Polish character who killer his trafficker in self defence was arrested and he never got justice or to go home. This is just PLAIN WRONG. I hear in the books this was not the case, so the movie is just too self-serving to be worth ANYTHING. The tone is too naive. The jokes are forced. The logic is NOT there. Another Netflix movie using good actors for crap.
