I thought the movie was pretty solid. My biggest problems with the movie were just small plot changes, like having it be Sub Zero kill Scorpion instead of Quan Chi, and certain Kabal-sized characters being underused. I really enjoyed the casting, it felt solid, especially Kano. He killed it in the role. I've seen some people upset about certain characters, so I'm going to get into spoiler territory as I try and figure certain things out. SPOILERS So, a lot of people seem to be upset with "Reptile". And while i agree it's not much better than the Original movie's use of him, I have a sneaking suspicion that it wasn't actually him, but rather someone of his species. Next, the Cole situation. I definitely see where people are coming from with him kind of being a character that they just threw in to make it different. However, It's my personal theory that he'll be revealed to be the movie's version of Takeda, with some minor changes here and there. All in all, a solid movie, definitely not deserving of all the hate it's receiving.
