I've never read Mel Robbins before but this book is being pushed as some new thinking and it isn't. Letting go of what we cannot control has been around for a very long time. I found this book to be an ego boost to the author that fails to give credit to those who came up with this theory long before she wrote a book about it. The constant back patting that she does about how great she is, leaves an ugly taste. She also fails to really appreciate that this can and is being taken as some sort of blanket response to difficult situations. Avoiding conversations with others will not resolve an issue in the slightest and her lack of knowledge of psychology shows through in this book. All in all not a great book and I won't waste my time reading anything else by her.
