Outstanding record. Solid songs. Mick vocals are on...band plays well...Keith on tell me straight,another great soulful country delivery. All these years,fantastic. Ronnie plays great and we get Charlie on two songs...blessing.

Sid Barret was a phenomenal composer. He was a Mozart. He coordinated sound: melody,harmony,syncopation and textural sounds weaved together...hard to put in exact words. Piper is an awesome listening experience. This is the one true Pink Floyd record. The blue print to what followed. I love all the records,but no Syd-no Floyd! It took me a few years to come to this realization. I was listening to the other records and finally went back...what a pleasure.
