Joker was an extreme disappointment. The plot was thin ad the movie dragged. The soliloquy justifying murdering the fortunate, was not empathetic or mind expansive. It could have been written much more compelling to convince us of a logical progression how Joker became a symbol for 1960’s parlance: we should “off the pigs.” Despite the raves, Joaquin Phoenix’s transformation into Joker was caricature and not the brilliant acting we’ve seen from him in the past. You may want to see it as a curiosity piece but I give it a C - rating.
