Excellent.I would concur wiih that. The other thought I had not long after starting the book was that(I think)that most environments go through a gloomy phase as knowledge accrues .After a while this becomes the normal state of things that we live with.It does NOT disable us,I my experience quite the opposite. The harsh reality of things acts as a motivator and the ‘gloom’ aka reality sits in the background. It is actually a strength and and isn’t depressing but a reality based in truth.I don’t know if others would agree with me.She does not seem to have had this experience. Her denial is dangeroous and sends a wrong signal to many including a green light to many who will see her hopeful adaptation as a green light for inactivity and/or as a justification from a certain political perspective.I have read 100plus books on the environment and her book is by far the most wrong despite all the data.If any book ever made me feel gloomy it was this.Delusional and misleading come close to describing its overall message. She is a pied piper of environmental causes.
