As a kid who watched Disney afternoons and appreciates the references, I enjoyed it for what it was: A movie with the sole purpose of launching other films and franchises. I fully expect to see Rescue Rangers rebooted now. And... that's okay. The writing was decent, the animation was superb, and the movie flowed well. Not many complaints.
