This movie makes revolutionaries on the left out to be unintelligent, lazy criminals. It does not do any favors to contemporary politics and it envisions a secret white supremacy group that, while fictional, may surely be emulated by some.
From an aesthetic and story-writing standpoint, this is also PTAs "worst" film. In fact, none of his other films are bad, so perhaps it would be better to say this is his only bad film.
While there are some moments in this film that are good, I did not find it worth the price of admission, and frankly, it was one of the lowest energy audiences in the theater I can recall ever seeing, so my opinion is likely not unique.
