This movie is complete and utter garbage. It is devoid of any logic and lacks any charm and adventure outside of the first twenty minutes. This movie starts off good and then gets progressively worse until the end which was so bad I had to pry my eyes open to see. It felt like I was watching a car crash in slow motion throughout the whole film and the end was a fiery wreck.
Im convinced they reshot the whole ending because after Indy is knocked out the film wraps up in about 5 minutes. Theres no explanation for why Marion came back or what happened to Indy, or what happened to his murder charges (because he is still wanted for murder, yes Indiana jones is being pursued by the police for murder). This is honestly one of the worst film endings ever and it was not emotional at all.
This film also has no logic to it what so ever, as the main villain of the film fights Indy on a train in the opening sequence and gets absolutely pieced by a water tower which smacks his head and rag dolls him off the train going 120+ mph. Yet 3 scenes later in 1969 he is shown completely fine in a hotel room with zero scars or any mention of his injury. This is never talked about again in the film (im not joking). Indy and his annoying goddaughter also diver down 300+ feet to the Mediterranean sea floor and descend immediately without taking safety stops ( any normal person would explode), and then ascend straight back up as his goddaughter inflates her life jacket under water and shoots up 100+ meters to the surface, (again this would kill someone in real life)(zero thought put into this what so ever). However the worst of these is that a 12 year old kid hot wires a old plane and flies it into a time vortex which takes him to the siege of Syracuse 2000 years into the past and is able to land the plane ( which he doesnt know how to fly) in the middle of a battle and then take it off again and fly back to the future (by the way this is actually something that happens in this movie, I am not joking). This is made a million times worse by the fact that the pilot of the plane is asleep im the back for the whole time and wakes up when they travel back to the siege of Syracuse, is alive and witnesses the whole battle and doesnt say a single thing and then flies back to the present with them and is never talked about again (what did having the actual pilot of the plane present add to the actual story? He has like two lines and only takes up a seat in the plane, who decided to add him in the film? Who knows). However when all of this is done, Indys goddaughter wont let him stay in the past because she says he will cause time anomalies, however she just leaves the wrecked ww2 plane along with a dozen dead nazis in uniform with 1960s technology and live munitions along with guns lying on the ground for ancient Romans to find (Awesome!, great writing! That def wont cause any problems.
Overall this was one of the worst films I have ever watched and someone actually didnt believe me when I told them what happened at the end. This movie makes kingdom of the crystal skull look like an oscar worthy movie.
