Keeping with the best traditions of GOT maybe without the breathtaking moments from the original that have you discussing if for days afterward at work. Season one is a good plot builder but at times felt a bit rushed without the intricate detail of the original. This left me with a bit of an ambivalent feeling towards some of the key cast members unlike, for instance the feelings of loyalty you instantly got for Ned Stark or House Stark in the first few episodes of GOT. A little more time building the detail of each characters would be great and less large gaps between plot shifts. One episode took us 6 years on from the last. All this being said it’s great to be back in familiar settings and it’s a good start that does credit to its predecessor.
