If people are not used to watching K-dramas, this one will go above their heads. K-dramas usually portray two types of teenage life. One with irresponsible parents which was the case of the female protagonist and the other with parents giving too much pressure to succeed in school especially the CSAT (which in reality I've heard is extremely tough for Korean teens). In both cases, teens learn how to grow up too fast and not enjoy their growth process. The magician comes into their lives to help them understand they should slow down and enjoy the life phase they're on. I enjoyed it very much but felt like something was missing. Like some parts of the drama were rushed into. Nonetheless, it's an enjoyable drama to watch.
