I have watched AGT from its beginning. Over the years, the format has changed to the point that I can’t watch it any more. The show has become more about the judges, the host and the audience. A lot of the performance is missed because the camera goes to the judges, audience and host more than on the performance. Even the shots of the performer are no more than 3 or 4 seconds at a time before switching angles to the the other 3 I mentioned. It is not only annoying but dizzying. I’m sure the people in the audience aren’t constantly shifting their attention to the judges, but are rather focused on the act itself. Why can’t we get the same?

This show is excellent and captivating. I just wonder why the producers have suddenly adopted the “low lighting” approach. I find it annoying enough to abandon watching.
