I think this would've worked better as a show. It felt rushed in a way that didn't give the characters the rightful depth they needed to connect with the audience. And to supplement the lack of depth, there were too many jokes and action scenes. This needed a good 6 eps to fully flesh out the story. I'm not as heavy into the comic book scene as a lot of the guys who are giving this low ratings. I don't find the need to know detail for detail each character from the source material. But I do know them at a surface level. Even with that, I still think most were undercooked with the exception of Nick Fury. That's because we've known him for the entirety of the Marvel franchises. Even having a show and movie, Ms. Marvel and Capt Marvel still felt relatively flat. And Monica doesn't have enough of her personality fleshed out despite being a part of WandaVision and Capt Marvel. It's still an enjoyable movie, but it's closer to an appetizer versus a full meal. I think that failure falls directly at the feet of the Marvel machine rather than the actors. This could've have used the show format to build the cohesiveness of the group and depth of the individuals, and released a full theatrical movie afterwards. I want to be clear, this was an enjoyable movie. I just think there was another level to be had and it didn't quite reach the heights it could have.
