People are complaining about sitting for 3.5 hrs. in a movie theater for this film but will gladly sit through a mind-numbing Marvel movie with characters originally made to appeal to children. Why would you go to see a film like this? Also, news flash: you're not supposed to like DiCaprio or DeNiro's characters. You're not supposed to relate to them. And there is supposed to be friction between the 2 characters which was portrayed beautifully. Additionally, if Scorsese, a white man, filmed the movie from the perspective of the Osage, only then would it be culturally problematic and you might have reason to complain. Scorsese had the money to make this movie and decided to portray some awful white men who did an awful thing. He succeeded at that if you ask me. I think using the same old actors everyone is sick of is a good move. Why cast your precious young, fresh sweethearts to portray some horrible old men? Everyone needs to get over themselves, as if they have the combined experience of all movie critics everywhere to make a totalizing judgement call.
