It made you fall in love with the characters, every single one of them from the first episode, and as each episode went on you just fell more and more deeply in love. I’m 28 and this was set before my time, I knew about it, but seeing the reality of it absolutely crushed me. I sobbed and sobbed at the thought that it could have been any one of the gay men I love if we were born 15 years earlier. Beautiful, heartbreaking, wonderful and awful all at once.
