So bad, especially growing up on the original hellboy movies, this was such a disappointment and did not show it's predictors any justice. The writing was awful, corny and had lines that were defenitely just borrowed from a whole lot of blockbuster films, the actors did not embody their characters and it was very difficult being immersed into the world that was trying to be created. The only two characters that had some depth to their acting was hellboy and his father, unfortunately they just had terrible scripts. The movies tone was so inconsistent and between the nitty-gritty theme and the comedic, humerous aspect, there was no consistency or balance there was always a jump of themes, not a smooth one, a forced, unnatural change, and the soundtrack was so... So aweful, every action scene, every, helicopter flying, the music just did not match the tone, it was music for a Michael bay film, not an R-rated film, meant to be much darker than before, also with this film being R-rated, like, tak advantage of it, Jesus, there was no tension in the film, no scene that inticed emotion or sympathy, the cgi, camera movement and acting made it seem like a goosebumps movie. And there was a great pick for actor's, great potential, just bad scripts and production.
