When I heard Emma Myers was going to be starring in a new series based off a trilogy, I had to read the books. After falling in love with the books I was excited to watch the show. But, they took a thrilling series with jaw-dropping moments and changed everything that gave it suspense. Though the acting and cast was incredible, the complete change of storylines, location, nicknames, and friend groups, seemed to ruin the entire show. Total gaps in places where there didn’t need to be any, things that were totally out of character, evidence that was searched for after hours of research was instead just handed over. Things that left me shocked in the books didn’t even make it into the show. I am sure I would have enjoyed the series had I not read the books, the actors did portray their roles well it seemed the writing just failed.
