Spoliers !!! First movie review so forgive me So its been about 5 hours since i walked out of the screening of UNCUT GEMS and im honestly still blown away from this peace. First of all let me just say Adam Sandler's ability to take on such a unlikable character and turn them into someone you are rooting for throughout the movie is incredible. The pure chaos that is is movie is definitely what grip my attention throughout the film. The pure anxiety you feel for howard aka adam sandler as he continues to destroy whatever opportunity he gets to relief the troubles that consistently surround this man . A character filled with bad choices and who is seemingly always chasing for the next winning hand always tryin to get better and bigger earnings. I personally find it so unbelievable how i find myself rooting for howard knowing that he was not good man for how he treated everyone around him. Much praise for Adam sandler for being able to play such a character as howard i really do believe if anyone else played this is would not have had the same outcome as he portrayed. This movie is definitely not meant for alot of people in my opinion this movie is very loud , chaotic throughout the whole film you constantly on this high of chaos. From start to finish this movie had me hooked from the amazing people that acted is this movie and chaotic and rushed scene as nyc is ..The atmosphere this movie was intense anxiety driven also fear ridden for howard . Overall the ending is whats got me thinkin the most it really caught me off guard . Never thought out the whole film would i expect howard to actually be killed. But the death was in a way a perfect ending cause he was finally relieved of all the worries that filled is life and he ultimately died happy after scoring the big hit he was searching for throughout the whole film so he died with a smile on his face. Us the audience couldnt have asked for such a perfect ending to a very trouble man and amazing movie . Definitely look foward to seeing future projects from Safdie brothers they definitely have gift .
