It seemed like the authors couldn't switch gears from Tom Clancy novels, where 95% is no action and set up, to Sons of Valor, where readers are used to a lot of action.
Two thirds of the way through the book, the main characters, Chunk and his team, are barely mentioned.
I have been a big fan of the Tier One books, and even more so of Sons of Valor. I marked my calendar counting down the days until this book, and it fell way short of what I am accustomed to reading.
It was a good story, but if this was book one I would not continue reading the series.
Also- characters pulling grenade pins with their teeth was embarrassing.
I miss Chunk and Dempsey!
