I was so looking forward to this series as I was totally captivated by the real life story of Anna. Further, with Shonda Rhimes at the helm and the wonderful Julia Garner as Anna I had very high hopes. . I was so disappointed in the result. I found the acting atrocious. Everyone seems to be an over the top caricature . No subtlety whatsoever. And I can’t get past Garner’s bizarre accent. Did the real Anna Delvey speak like that?? The accent is a bizarre mash up of British, German ( kind of), a little Russian ( sometimes) coupled with embellished “ blasé” tone to signal her snobbishness. It doesn’t work for me. So distracting. I have only watched the first few episodes. Hope it gets better. Big let down so far.
