When you think modern American war films you think of movies such as the Hurt Locker and American Sniper that tell riveting stories on the war on terror. I would argue that this film deserves the same respect if not more. In this cinematic masterpiece the audience is immersed in state of the art combat scenes and visual effects with every actor truly embedding themselves in there role. Throughout the movie it truly feels like the characters on screen are real people with incredible dialogue and character development. The director of this new classic envelopes numerous complex themes and symbolism into this work revealing a complex analysis of the war on terror and America’s future in the Middle East. This movie is a must watch for any true film connoisseur and is truly moving.
