Rachel first inspired me when she was a frequent guest on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show. Back then, I enjoyed hearing both sides of a story. (I'm OK with his being conservative. It's good to hear both sides of an issue, but he seems to have gone over to the dark side of conservatism. Maybe they all have. My entire family, except me, were Republican conservatives. They tolerate me. But even my conservative Republican, sister couldn't stomach Trump.) Rachel clearly researches everything she talks about. Her clear-thinking, deep-understanding reporting is refreshing, educational, and entertaining all at the same time. Not all rich people are conservative or even Republican. What I don't understand is how the "falling-off-the-deep-end" thinking ever gained a toe-hold on our society. The 1% who are the wealthiest in this country surely can't elect anybody with just their votes. How have they convinced so many Americans that they could do anything for THEM? What did Donald Trump's movement ever do for "your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free"? It's just my opinion, but what he has done/is doing to this country looks a lot like the brainwashing Hitler did to convinced otherwise sane people to believe in him and commit the atrocities they did. Rachel is a breath of fresh air and sanity in a country that is clearly going insane.
