VERY underrated movie, with many excellent performances. The decision to make any musicale is dicey, but Tom Waits gritty contextual compositions & grittier vocals, contrasted with Crystal Gayles lovely voice made it work. The 'studio type' production adds a unique feel for the era. A "little" movie but a great one.
