Excellent movie. A nostalgic, sweet, full-paced, patriotic, and thrilling experience. The film is full of action, drama, romance, comedy, and patriotism, as one would expect from a Gadar film. The film does not shy away from showing the brutality of war and the atrocities committed by both sides. The film also tries to convey a message of secularism and humanity, as Tara Singh respects all religions and helps people in need, regardless of their faith or nationality. The film also pays homage to the original movie by recreating some iconic scenes and dialogues, such as Tara Singh’s hand-pump scene, his ‘ayee’ scream, and his ‘Hindustan zindabad’ slogan. Gadar 2 is a thoroughly entertaining Bollywood sequel that successfully taps into nostalgia and delivers a full-on masala entertainer. Sunny Deol’s powerful performance and iconic character make the film a must-watch, despite some flaws in the overall narrative.
