Honestly I liked the songs and the animation but the story is so predictable and when there isn't a song happening it just feels like it's coming to a halt. Another thing is every character feels like they just are getting side lined for no reason however the villain is the greatest thing about this movie, Spinelle is such a cool and fun character and her backstory is just heart breaking but over all I didn't really enjoy this film as much as most people 5/10 for me

This movie was so boring, the story is literally just the lion king but with no emotion, the characters are bland as cardboard and have no emotion what so ever sure you see the characters expressing them but you don’t feel the emotions they’re expressing and I think it has to do with the CGI trying to make them look more real which restraints the movie from making it feel more emotional like the original where the animation gave the lions the ability to make many expressions making it more emotional. The songs however were alright, Can You Feel The Love Tonight was good even though it was in broad daylight, Be Prepared was insultingly cut short, and Hacuna Matata and Just Can’t Wait To Be King were poorly sung. However don’t get me started on the jokes they are horrendously bad, Zazu isn’t funny in the slightest and Timon and Pumba got 2 laughs out of me but that’s not enough to go off one hand. Another thing is they patten out so many scenes like there is this one scene where were following a rat climb up a mountain and it’s so pain steakingly long yet they cut out the scene where the money, Refeaky, wacks Simba on the head and says “it doesn’t matter now it’s in the past” which is honestly one of my favorite scenes from the original movie. The CGI however was great but it can’t make up for the rest of the bad things about this movie. Overall I give this movie a 2/10 and on a star rating scale I give it a 1/5 truly a rotten remake.
